"Story" in video games is overrated. Playing video games for story is a pleb filter. Read a book, or at the very least watch a movie lmao. Story in video games literally peaked with this normie-coded game that is undercover kino. They should really adapt this into a movie, only game worth it in my opinion.

OP here, my point was the opposite is true. There are not really many good game stories. I wouldn't even consider something like TLOU's story that great, but the gameplay is pretty decent, and overall worth playing. The best games are carried by their gameplay not story.
Also my other point was that Black Ops is underrated and is low key one of the best stories worth experiencing even though most of /v/ hates cod.

One storytelling aspect I really liked about Black Ops was bringing różnic back. World at War was pretty good, but generally overrated by nostalgia nostalgiafags, but linking the two games together with that character is excellent fan service. It reminds me of a more tasteful version of the MCU or something, and was long before the MCU was a big thing.
