The only reason to port TF2 to Source 2 would be to finally release the linux SDK tools like hammer 2 so non-mentally ill people who still make shit CAN make shit.
They didn't bother with CS:2 or DOTA 2 when those went Source 2 so prospects are unlikely for TF2 either.
