You shouldn't even be able to grind for gear at low levels since can blast to level 70 in no time, at which point you will only care about finishing the story then moving on to the actual grind mode.
Don't think about the level progression. It makes no sense.

Diablo 3's biggest problem is the gameplay loop involves deleting all of your progress every few months. Why anyone tolerates this is a mystery.
Second biggest problem is the grind doesn't actually serve any purpose. There is no goal you are working toward or end achievable.
Third biggest problem is that ridiculous bonus damage 10,000%+, is on sets making them the only option.

I've been trying out different arpgs since IV disappointed me greatly and i have to say those Van helsing games are pretty good.

Was watching a review of Diablo IV, and the guy said the only two games worth anything in the entire gender are Darksiders Genesis and The Ascent.

I'd say it's actually more an european thing, similar to autism simulators like Rimworld, Factorio or farm sims. If you are comparing these games to more story focused RPG, then you are missing the point, Diablo clones are all about building your character, collecting items and optimizing gameplay for clear speed. The selling point is introducing a variety of classes with a selection of builds, and meaningful gameplay differences, so even if you "max" one character and build, you can just start another one and have a new experience. It's a style of game where your preparation/number crunching on the side is as important as playing the game. There is also a place for "challenge" runs where you play unoptimized and with handicaps on purpose, like trying to clear the game or achieve specific milestone with the worst skills in the game, or by limiting the pool of items to a specific quality, just crafting etc.

Diablo 1 is good.
Thematically it is 1 town going to hell where you start fighting skeletons and end up fighting demons and diablo himself.

The game is set up thematically where when you hear the legend of the king made mad or the demon butcher you encounter them in time.

It really is a challenge encountering them.
And taking out diablo is a real challenge, the fact that monsters do not respawn so you can farm them forever is a bonus.

The main change going a warrior build is knowing when to use your potions also there is no retarded system like in the later games so you need to remember on what key the potion is or you die.

In D3 I encountered the butcher and he is minimally challenging. If I am one shooting literal demon the story becomes a joke. and a randomly generated forest as a dungeon is retarded as fuck the only worked in the first game where this was areal dungeon all the time not this crap.

The 1 diablo is the only good diablo.
As of act one everything dies basically instantly. There is no challenge or even a strategy since everything drops dead while I run around with a companion and pressing 1 button makes everything other then bosses die in 1 or 2 hits.

The potions are a joke since it is 1 button press. In D1 the skill was remembering what button still has a potion and if you fuck up you die.

However once again in D1 the firs """"ACT"""" is basically a dungeon full of goblins and skeletons and it escalates from there.

In D3 it is retarded you are fighting and killing demon lords left and right while some guy babbles about nephilim and superman humans who you also kill like it is nothing.
