>>716477741 (OP)Survival game set in the antarctic during the dark months, you're some dude tasked with keeping a research station running as part of a skeleton crew maintaining things over the continent while the regular research crew leaves until the sun's back up.
Challenge comes in when the rest of the crew keeping other stations up and running start going dark and stop responding over the radio.
You have to keep things like the facility generators (powers stuff), transport buggy (lets you explore places away from the main base), central heating systems (keeps you from freezing), and lab computers (determines your payout every week that you can use to get things like food/materials/convenience items) running.
You also have the option of hunting for food (I know this would be a big fuckup IRL given the context but assume it's totally cool for reasons idk).
Goal is to survive 6 months until the regular team returns so you can be extracted, with the option of exploring and finding out what's going on for an alternate ending.
Focus would be placed on hostile and animal AI so you feel like you're actually hunting animals or being hunted.
Game would save once a day at the start of the day only.
Occasionally you'd also get auroras which would make it a lot easier to see.
