What's ya favorite first person puzzle game, mate?
I think I only know of about 5 first person puzzle games and the rest are just puzzle adjacent
>>716491353 (OP)Pure puzzle? Antichamber. Featuring puzzles as a mechanic? Outer Wilds.
I hope you are considering adventure games. Riven, the sequel to Myst is the genre's greatest work.
>>716493961For me Myst was less of a "how do I solve this puzzle?" and more of a "where the fuck is the puzzle?"
I really like those Nancy Drew adventure games, don't know if they qualify as puzzle games. They felt more like virtual vacations.
Escape Simulator completely 'solved' the genre though imo. It's like the starcraft use map settings/warcraft iii custom maps/cs custom maps/garry's mod version of first person puzzle games, since it has a room editor and a fairly large mapmaking scene.
Granted most of it is garbage, but a lot of the environments and puzzles of the free custom rooms beat most of your paid puzzlers on steam.
The only thing it doesn't have are NPCs and larger environments.
>>716491353 (OP)Antichamber was inevative and hard at some points. But I'll have to stick with the classics, so Portal 2.
>>716491353 (OP)Portal 2 but only the co-op version
>>716496272Portal 2 with workshop maps is endless fun
Do metroid prime and outer wilds count?
