I'll bet 90% of so called "gamers" on /v/ can't beat my PC's performance.

Nah, you end up upscaling or downscaling every movie ever produced and the extra power needed isn't worth the small definition increase, 1080p and 4k are both great, the middle is just pants on head retarded

Disagree, 4k is marginally nicer than 1440p while requiring serious amounts of processing power. 1440 is significantly and noticeably more high rez than 1080p while still giving you 100+ FPS at maxed settings in most graphically demanding games, while 50-60 FPS in an insane stress test like Steel Nomad.

>4k is marginally nicer than 1440p while requiring serious amounts of processing power. 1440 is significantly and noticeably more high rez than 1080p
This is just mathemathically wrong. 1440p is 3,686,400 pixels,1080p is 2,073,600 pixels, 4k is 8,294,400 pixels.
Which means 1440p is 1.77x of 1080p - but 4k is 2.25x of 1440p or 4x of 1080p. 4k is a substantially bigger upgrade over 1440p than 1440p is over 1080p.

Yes. I have 4k 27 inch and 1440p 27 inch monitors side by side, even on this panel I notice it especially during motion. Image quality of modern games scales with output resolution more than ever before, because we're in the age of temporalslop.
