Oh I agree with you, it's really incredible what he was able to accomplish by taking what worked in the first title, listening carefully to player's concerns with it, and addressing all of those issues to some satisfactory level or another. Bravo, Hideo.

Now that being said, please fix the Bridge Links from being the most unfun, unrewarding and timeconsuming system implemented in the game. How the hell am I suppose to reciprocate someone's 6k likes on a road when I am not even informed which stretch or road it was to see if they dropped me a sign or something?
For that matter, why can't you see everything someone has made that has appeared in your world if you're already 4 fucking stars in connection level? Making up this last 5th star on the Bridge Link contracts is incredibly fucking frustrating. I want to be done with the game so I can take a break, but if I can't finish a contract before the game cools off in foot traffic, then I'm gonna repatriate.

yeah you can, I did it yesterday. I went to the BT area far to the south of the lone sniper approaching the coast, that was where two spawn in. Then I sent out the lord of the lake to kill one and cripple the other of them single handedly, waited for the crippled one to fall from the sky once it reaches critical health and tossed the capture grenade. Alternatively you have to bait out the UFO succ attack to toss the grenade, which is high stakes because it means if you fuck it up you get a crater forming in the area and the fight concludes.

BT design wise the flier is my new favorite. I love how hard the fight is without BT summons.

i caught my raia as part of the aid request near where the chronobiologist is. i didnt have guns on me except for blood grenades so i had to spam the communicate button so random weapons would spawn in

preferably have most of the roads on the western side of the map built. particularly the one leading from the government base all the way leading back to Mr. Impossible
plan your route according (i.e. cutting through the mountains instead of using the roads when coming from terminal fort knot bandit camp to bandit camp near the ghost hunter)
start with the bandit camp near terminal fort knot
use an off roader
if you're planning to go off road and have to pass through a BT area, remember to turn the Q-pid on and clear the BT area before starting the quest

to make bandit camp clearing a lot easier, just activate the APAS enhancement thing you get from 5 starring BPAS where your electric attacks do a lot of damage and just use stun grenades and the stun bola gun to clear all of the bases out

Kojima really sucks at making open world games ramp up properly in difficulty. Once I realized I was optimizing the fun parts out of the game just like I did with the first game, I put myself into offline mode and stopped using vehicles and ziplines.

Also I do not understand was Tomorrows identity supposed to be a surprise? I could figure out that she was Lou from the fucking trailer.

I sort of agree but the lack of a "wow" factor prevents it from overtaking MGS2 for me even though it's objectively superior to most of his games in many ways. There are diminishing returns in terms of technology and gameplay systems that make it really hard to top MGS2 and DS1 without a billion dollar budget.

This games was surprisingly short (relative to the first game), at the start it felt like it was much larger than the first game but I finished my plat in 90 hours in comparison to the 108 hours the first game took me.

it's simple, the game's soundtrack continues to play out like the first game's which had an atmosphere of isolation and loneliness and quiet introspection whereas in this game you go back to your drawbridge buddies after every other mission and dollman is constantly with you, but the ost didn't get the hint. also some of the songs just felt like low roar at home
