Battlezone originally released in 2016 as a PSVR title, then it was rereleased as Battlezone Gold Edition that could support VR or be played without it. You are piloting a tank in a cyberspace setting with the goal to destroy a rogue AI that has gone full SkyNet. You hack bases, shoot down jets and drones, blow up enemy tanks, turrets, suicide trucks full of explosives, and other enemies while clearing different nodes on a map to reach the final AI core and destroy it.

The pace is slower than other first person titles because you are in a tank and the result is comfy shooter that plays really well.

Interestingly it's based off the 1980 arcade game Battlezone that is the first commercially available FPS title made and was popular enough that the US military used it as the basis for tank simulation training.

I've been playing this recently, it's fun! I only just bought an old PSVR headset, you can find them as low as $50 now.

The PC version has VR support as well.

Don't know about the PC version but the console VR version used standard controller and FPS scheme for play with the VR aspect mainly being used to simulate you sitting in the tank cockpit. Honestly? One of the better uses of VR because of that. Same with Starblood Arena which is an arena shooter using spaceships like Descent and Forsaken for those that remember those games. Don't know if SBA made it to PC though.

Nevermind. SBA offline play was still tied to servers and those got shut down so it's literally impossible to play anymore.
