You want to sit there and have to load all your clips/loose bullets into mags constantly? You want mag limits? You want to clean and oil your gun every so many rounds fired? When does gun realism go to far for you?
>>716512539 That doesn't answer anything. What interferes?
Reloading early causing you to lose bullets? Having to maintain a weapon condition meter? Weapon condition low causing Jams and cycling malfunctions? A feature where sometimes you have to press a button a slap the bottom of the mag? etc
>>716511529 >>716513154 all those things are cool, just make them an optional thing you can do just for fun and immersion. players can then play the game however they want. i think it was metro 2033, i might be wrong, that let you eject mags to see how many bullets you had left and the put the mag back into the gun. i like that instead of having an ammo counter in the corner of the screen.
>>716511924 Issue's with implementation >interesting mechanic to push the player to maintain weapons >ends up being either so simple to do that you never worry about it or so tedious to get what you need for it that no one does it often enough >results in either never interacting with jams or getting them all the fucking time because you forgot to stop at a shack and grab a new G3 again Should exclusively be the area of RPGs and milsim stuff, and based on ammo type or weapon condition.

Maybe it's just a delay built in to make the game more challenging rather than just a realism thing? Like swapping weapons too often and too fast has drawbacks, for balance sake and decision making aspects. So, you're being punished for being an uncertain player swapping and missclicking buttons. Sometimes that management is the gameplay.
Either way, if it becomes an issue for gameplay, and depending on the game, the devs could do what some other games do and just auto-reload when you weapon swap after a set of time elapsed. Like Overwatch or something. It'll fill after some time or when you use an ability.

Gun animations are satisfying and I don't care that they're unrealistic or don't make sense. Deus Ex Human Revolution always has the character rack the slider of his pistol every time he pulls it out and I love it every time.
>>716514006 Metro 2033 didn't have that mechanic but you could see how much ammo you have in the bastard or shambler and in the idle animation for some guns Artyom would check the mags.
>>716511015 (OP) >need a loicence to wank >might need one to play violent vidya eventually if Collective Shart gets their way Being an eternal anglo is suffering
>>716511529 >You want to sit there and have to load all your clips/loose bullets into mags constantly? Yes. >You want mag limits? Yes. >You want to clean and oil your gun every so many rounds fired? Yes.
>>716511015 (OP) >playing Hideous Destructor >shotgun needs to be manually racked between shots and you can eject loaded rounds >still rack the shotgun even when it's loaded because it feels cool
>>716511529 i played some stalker mod that was like this you had to sit through the mag loading animation for like 2 minutes

>>716511015 (OP) Play HOLE. >reload my not-Glock from empty >press schut button >click >click >click >I forgot to chamber a round >now I'm dead Also guns overheat and jam if you shoot too much. Be warned tho, it's early access UE slop.
>>716511015 (OP) so? that shit is cool i used to switch to the pistol over and over in halo CE just to watch the gun get racked every single time if you want realism go play SOCOM navy seals nigga where you can't go prone in puddles incase you drown and you don't drop magazines when you reload you simply swap between several on your person
>>716511015 (OP) >looter shooter >shitbag midget gives the same stupid cheering sounds with head shots or mumbles the same stupid song on every killing spree
