>first person shooters,
>stealth games,
>role playing games (no, JRPGs don't count, those are linear visual novels with grinding numbers),
>4X games,
>simulations,
>immersive sims
>stealth games,
>city builders,
>god games,
And so on, and so forth. Even genres that used to flourish there, like survival horrors, have been completely dominated by European studios for the last 15+ years.
More like gaming in general. Just list how many genres have been completely dead on that island:
