It all depends on your tastes.
UTY has nearly no meta elements, and no meta commentary on anything, it takes the UT world at face value. If that's what you liked about UT, you might prefer UTY over DR.
DR is much more polished than UTY in certain aspects, though I believe the artwork and world design from the later half of UTY rivals DR very well.
UTY has some very dumb story directions, but there is a chance DR will fuck up even harder.
