I feel bad for late zoomers/gen alpha. They never got to play the hundreds of truly free games that were hosted on the web. Raze, Balloon in a Wasteland, Drag Racer 2, Super Smash Flash, Electric Man, etc. were all available completely for free.

A lot of the recent browser games I've seen are ports of appstore games. No effort is being put into them anymore. You'd never see a game like Sonny or Mardek get made for free anymore. Pretty sad
