>ready to get the Water Stone in OoT
>Head to Lake Hylia
>Not sure what to do
>Think I need a crossbow or something to shoot at the sun or whatever like the stone says
>Not sure where I'd get one of those, think maybe the shooting game
>Play that over and over and over, failing a lot
>Eventually give up and just google what I have to do
>IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH LAKE HYLIA AT ALL AND I WENT THE COMPLETE WRONG WAY AND WASTED FOREVER AND NOW FEEL LIKE CRYING BECAUSE I'M AN IDIOT
Are Zelda games just not for me? I didn't know you had to go to Zora's River and get to the domain that way. Does anyone have any tips for how to play these games? I don't want to have to use a fucking guide over and over and over and I legit feel like a complete retard and it has ruined my motivation to continue. This is my first Zelda game.

Next time you don't know what to do just go somewhere else and see what happens.

I'm pretty sure Navi or the Kaepora Gaeborea tell you where to go, especially early game, just pay more attention

Navi just tells you to see if Saria has anything to say. Saria just tells you a vague message about the water stone being protected by Zora or whatever. I even went back to see her in person to see if she had anything better to say, and yeah. I went to see the Gerudo, nope. I didn't go back to see the Goron at least, so maybe they would tell me. Either way I know I sound like I'm coping, but I wish something would've gave me a better hint by going to Lake Hylia. Since Zora were there and there was that Sun puzzle I figured I had to do something with that, not go to the other side of Hyrule Field...whatever

I guess I'll keep playing, even if this really soured my mood. It's a comfy game but maybe I'm just too small brain for even simple puzzles...

Considering that you seem to be way more dumb than the 10yo ESL-fag I was when I played this on the N64, all by myself... yeah ?

You are not meant to "know" things.
You are supposed to stop, think, explore and examine. Or just fucking ask one of the many in-game navigators and hint-boxes masquerading as NPCs and your flying partner.

So you never checked your MAP?
Hell, you could even talk to Zelda for more tips.

Anyway, you are clearly way too fixated on one silly thing you come across. That's a mark of ADHD hyper fixation if I ever saw one.
The kid-section is literally a tutorial for babbies.

Protip: if you weren't even born yet in the 1990s, always look up the game's MANUAL online and read it before playing a pre-iPhone era game.
