Neither of those games are at the peak of their genre, SotN is especially bad. In fact, every non-linear castlevania is just garbage. its one of the best metroidvania you can find it, the first one or two hours is slow because you have no abilities but after that its nonstop amazing. I think the first 2 hours of slow are a good guard for it against adhd zoomers and faggot retards.

This feels like a very silly complaint purely because by praising super metroid you're aware that a game is capable of being cleared much quicker once you know what you're doing. That principle applies to both games, I'd say HK probably takes the average player twice the time of super metroid on their second clear of each, at most. Unless you're going for like 117% or whatever at which point that's on you for choosing to pursue it and then complain about too much meat

Its slow to start. I dropped it after the first boss girl(I don't remember her name). It's a soulslike metroidvania. Not for me but I can see people getting into it (that's where the good reviews come from. Some people like that ganere); if that sounds like something you'll like then go for it. If you are looking for a metroidvania game that doesn't fight you at every turn, I like the Ori games. They have tight controls and good OST; Challanging but not soul sucking and slow like HK.
