There's something about old games that new games just can't replicate

It's much easier to relinquish yourself and blindly trust them

Old games are made with love and care that a lot of modern game studios just don't have.

there are plenty of indie games made with the same love, though. you just need to know where to look.

How old are we talking?
Many old games from NES era and even early PS1 games don't play well either because of its controls or its plagued with bullshit game design

The most popular guy who complains about old games is not a zoomer and is probably older than you

>>716532456
Yeah, but they're still plagued with bullshit level design, and shitty password systems. Not to mention some JP games that got released in US was made harder to combat rentals, like Ninja Gaiden 3 not having infinite continues

As for controls, I meant early 3D PS1 games that was made before the PS1 got analog sticks. Games like Jumping Flash don't control the best with tank controls

You had to actually have a skilled programmer before. Nowadays we got artists who are wannabe game devs because modern tools simplify the whole process, and they only need to worry about setting up basic logic loops.

Older games were made to be experienced first and foremost. Modern games are content farms designed to try and keep maximum engagement at all times by constantly jingling keys in your face.

It's because older games were developed by dev teams who genuinely enjoyed their jobs and enjoyed every moment of the vidya they worked on and normie retards didn't mess with vidya yet so they were designed for cool nerds only.
