>>716537389>>716536876the real issue is Shirow's aspie tendency to go into off-topic technobabble rants that bring the story to a screeching halt. There's always at least one time in every chapter where he dedicates an entire page and multiple paragraphs of writing to explaining how the made-up technology in his world works, oftentimes explaining completely ancillary stuff that only appears once. In one chapter for example, he goes off on a tangent about the fictional history of some fantasy gun manufacturer simply because a character happened to say they they were using a gun from said manufacturer. It doesn't add to the story at all, just wastes page space. It's the sort of shit Chris Chan does in Sonichu, just with better art and more coherent writing.
