Went back to Zelda even if I figured there is no way the game would make you go back there because you have to sneak past the guards again, and she told me nothing of importance regarding the Zora Domain. Like I said, I may have missed some Goron text hinting at it, but I doubt it. The owl never hints at it either.

You are supposed to stop, think, explore and examine.
I guess my "thinking" wasn't good enough. Sorry for thinking the area with Zora's around it and the area where the owl stops and tells you that you're in an area where the Zora's are wasn't THE RIGHT Zora area! Oops! Glad I had to go to the opposite side of the map because...you just do! Sorry I'm not some 10 year old playing for the first time that is in awe walking around Hyrule Field and talking to every NPC cause it's their first N64 game or something.
