Honestly if there's a Japanese voice option and you play it in English, your power level is shit to me

Before the 2010s, hell to the fuck yes
Now dubs are at a point where while never being better than the Jap VA, english dubs aren't as bad as it used to be.

If anything, it the voice direction that the dub va is given that makes them sound horrible more than the va themselves

I use English only if the setting is one in which it would make more sense than Japanese. Any obviously western setting

It's obvious that there's virtually no direction in localization VA
Actors read lines in ways that don't fit the immediate context all the time. Like putting emphasis in places that show they are reading lines in a vacuum and have no idea what the other character said before the line they're recording

Honestly english dubs can be okay. All female eng dub vas need to do is to just speak in a normal tone. I fucking hate it if they started doing high pitched squeaky voice especially if the character doesn't look like a kid.

yes there are some jp vas that has a really bad high pitched squeaky voice. But in general they're much better in handling it.

If you wanted to be completely realistic with this specific game in particular, then:
>the main cast should be speaking Dutch/Polish
>a few other main characters and most of the supporting cast should be speaking British English
>the villains should be speaking German/Russian
>a couple other characters should be speaking American English
>and lastly, a few other side characters would speak French, Finnish/Norwegian, and Japanese

I'm that anon, and recently I finished KH1 fully dubbed and even discounting the Disney characters (which obviously has great english voiceover) I still think it's much better than subbed
KH2 is a different case though
