I don't understand how people enjoy RDR2.
Arthur as a character makes no fucking sense in any feasible way. He was raised to be a gun slinger in a gang that beat, robbed, murdered and even raped and tortured people for decades. He also directly involved himself in these activities. He had a near countless amount of chances to turn away from that life but continued it anyway knowing full well that he was not a good person for doing so. Despite being raised by literal gangsters he somehow knows how to not only read but also write in perfectly legible handwriting in a time where 90% of homesteaders in his region wouldn't know how to read beyond a first grade level and couldn't write anything outside of their name.
He also apparently knows what dinosaurs are or has at least heard of them in a time where such things were only talked about in Yankee states and Europe. He isn't racist even though he was born in a time where the KKK were a powerful political movement and public lynching was a common thing. He apparently has no input or thoughts and opinions on women's rights and think women are strong and independent even though he almost married a women in a time where women couldn't even hold property and almost every other gang member was disrespectful towards them. He spends his entire life killing, robbing and maiming people and yet he apparently has a moral compass that tells him that abandoning friends and helping the poor is a good thing. Multiple scenes and characters in the game say repeatedly that he was a good man even though before you even take control of him in the game he's confirmed to have killed at least 50+ people. Neve rmind the countless amounts of times he's beaten poor farmers and workers for not paying their loans.

This character makes no fucking sense to me. It's like they tried to put a lukewarm western country man from the late 00's early 10's, made him an active participant in harming people and want you to think he's a good guy.
