Yeah, they're giving all these free WEGs, but where's the Japanese games? You know, the clear biggest targets of censorship since 2018, to the point that now EVERY single mainstream storefront censors or bans them or is at least extremely picky with them? Meanwhile, in the last year, GOG outright started refusing business with an entire publisher of H-games (Kagura Games) AND demanded censorship of a fucking M-rated Vita game (Tokyo Clanpool). That last one is especially telling as it's not porn even uncensored and was sold in general stores in Japan when it first released. What did Kagura Games and Compile Heart ever do to them? Clearly GOG's "anti-censorship" stance doesn't count when the games are Japanese. Before you suck them off for giving away some shitty WEGs and Postal 2, remember this. What worth is their stance if they won't defend the biggest targets of censorship in the modern day? Do not let this issue go ignored. If you have relevant accounts, put them on blast for not defending Japanese games and expression.

Who's to say one or more of them didn't apply and got refused because GOG doesn't want to advertise "their kind of games"? Besides, that's not what this is really about, this is about GOG grandstanding about being anti-censorship while at the same time censoring or refusing business with Japanese games, the biggest targets of censorship today. GOG's stated message is at odds with their own actions.

Modding is by default a hobby. You do it for free.
It's safer to buy a working and tested game for a few bux from GOG than download it from some shady site.

Yes, it is, especially if you don't make it very clear what you don't take and it isn't simply done in the name of distinguishing yourself from other storefronts. When every storefront from Nintendo to Steam starts doing it, as they are with Japanese games, it is absolutely corporate censorship. GOG took all of these games at a point in time, uncensored, until suddenly they didn't and the publishers were left to take the brunt of having their games that would have been fine a year or two ago suddenly get censored or denied. There are limits to what corporations, especially ones that run platforms that artists and developers rely on for their business, should be allowed to get away with in the name of "muh private company/muh brand". You are seeing this on a global scale at this very moment with VISA/Mastercard/payment networks; will you seriously try to argue that it isn't censorship. You remind me of the "it isn't censorship unless the government does it" types.
