As a dane, I never understood why people were angry at this depiction. That is pretty much what he is meant to look like. I am more angry at how Marvel portrays him.

He is literally described as "big and red-bearded" and pic related is what we grew up with, which is similar to what he looks like in GoW: Ragnarok.

Thor visually is the least offensive depiction here. Even most of his personality is taking things in stride, enjoying battle and getting serious when Ragnarok hits. Pretty much this. It's seems like the intended maybe for Thor to get fat by the 3rd game, which may have actually given him a fucking character arc instead of whatever they did in Ragnarok. I always put the game on easy, muted, and with no subtitles for any angrboda parts or skip the scenes. Odin faking as Tyr was actually a pretty good moment for me the first time.
