Then you probably went in expecting it to play like a modern action RPG. FF6 shines if you're into strong character arcs, top-tier pixel art, and one of the best villains ever. It’s not about flashy combat - it’s about atmosphere and story. If that’s not your jam, I get it, but the opera scene alone is peak kino.

I'm playing it on PSP right now, only about an hour or so in. So far it feels like a very generic JRPG, but maybe that's the intention. At least Estille is cute.

My autistic brother is playing through the whole series right now and says he's really liking it. He says his favourite part is how often the NPC dialogue changes but I think he just likes the cute girls :)
