I don't give a fuck what people on the Internet say. A lot of the stuff in this game is boring or annoying. I love its personality, but it's a fucking travesty compared to the DKC trilogy and Banjo.

This was the second game I dropped without completing.
The first was Conker's Pocket Tales.

It would be looked at more fondly if it wasn’t on the same console as Mario 64, Banjo, and Rocket. It’s a perfectly fine platformer unless you’re trying to do a 100% run

So bad that it killed the genre.

Tooie had that too but Expand Dong 64 cranks it to 11 because of the Tag Barrel and the multitude colored coded and gated collectables. Tooie just had massive and complex maps you had to contend with once you used Mumbo in a puzzle and got a jiggy you could essentially forget him until you need to use him again. Yes Mumbo pads suck dick I will not argue there. but 64 had like 5 Mumbos.

I solved this well discussing how bad Banjo twoie was.
Children have different brains than adults. You have infinite free time, minimal resources, and like repetition. A long game rocks when you get 4 games a year. I loved DK64 as a kid and couldn't grasp the hate.
Than I played banjo tooie for the first time. What an awful repetitive time waster. Im sure if I played it as a kid I'd love it, and if I'd played dk64 as an adult I'd absolutely hate it.

Like for example at the beginning in the first level theres this zone with trees and vines, then you immediately go into a hallway and get to the actual big part of the level.
