>>717133253 (OP)It's probably the weird difference between the military aesthetic Call of Duty is going for and the wackiness of the paid skins causing a rift between different parts of the playerbase.
The people who want the aesthetic to stay consistent hate the skins while the people who don't care or who play Call of Duty very casually happily pay for them. Keep in mind that there's also sweaty ass motherfuckers who are really good at the game who will happily buy skins and bullet effects (the bright glowing bullets) if it gives them an advantage and also pisses off everyone else they play against. It doesn't matter how much anybody bitches about them, it makes a lot of money so they're gonna stay.
