I'm not really thinking about canonically when I ask that. For me, on one hand, giving a personality to the monster makes it less frightening, but it also makes it an actual character, making it overall more interesting.

I think in that sense it's fine since it only starts happening around what, Sister Location(?) and even then that's only Baby. Pizza Sim as an actual game isn't terrifying in the least, it's a literal chore simulator so that's whatever. And for UCN where the vast majority of it is, since it's the last time we'll see 95% of any of these characters, I feel like it doesn't hurt anybody. Besides, if you're the type of autist actually playing UCN, you really care less about the jumpscares/story and more about the gameplay because that's ALL the game is.

It depends. The Puppet has had a character since her appearence as the protective motherly type, which combined with how bloodthirsty she is paints an interesting picture. Whether that makes her scarier is up to you, but it's not like it's a bad thing.
