The HELP one on Aquilo is so good, I got stranded there as my ship died in orbit and even reloading a save it couldn't get back to the other planets, had to sit around as my other bases built up a new ship to get there and send more supplies.

That's a smaller footprint for all sci than I would have thought it would be.
Gona bottleneck hard on the upper tiers but having a self contained setup like that is awesome.

I suspect factorio is gunna go the way of OpenTTD and have complete industry chain overhauls 20 years from now via modders. OpenTTD didn't really get crazy ones until like 10 years ago, which was 10 years after it released, and the original game was released 10 years prior to that. This feels like one of those games that's gunna be remembered for a long time.

Like TTD I think the combination of modability and hitting that autistic itch juuuuuust right is gonna keep factorio going basically forever. Other games are like factorio, but factorio isn't really like any other game.

Man, I liked Aquillo's recipies but I didn't like finishing it. To get the amount of CPUs I needed for my railguns took sooooo long it was really disruptive to my playthrough. Gleba was not as big an issue as anons said it was on release, since one fruit patch of each is plenty for even an endgame base.

true, but it's only purpose is to constantly make (slow) progress while i dick around trying to figure out better designed parts of my factory. otherwise i would have had a lot of dead time, especially when making major changes

Is there a mod that makes it so instead of running out of resources machines just gather it slowly when it runs low? So even at 0 they can still gather but slowly

Electric furnaces aren't much better unless you're specifically trying to reduce pollution. They also take precious red circuits (I count over 300 furnaces in picture, so over 1500 red circuits) and are completely obsolete the minute you get to Vulcanus.
