you get new investors, you bring eyes back onto your games so people are more likely to play and buy your older titles, preorders and you can release in early access. the only thing sort of good is getting critique but desu unless you delay, critique is worthless, no one reveals when theyre opening to making big changes.
it also allows guaranteed players since preorder players are more likely to play the game they brought a year ago than an objectively better game that released 2 days before yours.
its all about getting the most money with the least possible work. releasing on the reveal or releasing in the same month as the reveal is only good for how people perceive you but that perception is worthless, it doesnt translate to additional sales. only time does that.
