You are correct. No 1 purchase has it all, by design. Whatever you choose is wrong. They actually went to court over this and promised the court they would make the DLC buying processes clearer and then didn't follow through. In fact they made it even worse and are still doing it.

No matter what you do you will wind up spending about $150 to get everything. Better off just pirating it.

I just replayed CN47 for the first time in probably a decade and thought it was a genuinely solid game for what it is. replayed H2SA a couple months ago and while it's aged like milk, I still enjoyed it more than any of the first two nu-Shitman gayms I got memed into buying for $15.

Gonna hijack OP's thread here for a minute. So I was gifted the Hitman Bundle eons ago and since I've finally shortened my backlog, I think it's time to finally touch these games. I have never played a Hitman game, but I've heard there's games in the collection that you should just straight up avoid? Is this true? The bundle came with Codename 47, Silent Assassin, Blood Money, Absolution, and Contracts.

Codename 47 is kind of pointless since it's before they decided on a direction for the series and its important levels got remade in Contracts anyway
Silent Assassin would have been kino if not for the fact that you blow your cover if you're running while disguised, making the whole game very slow
Contracts is what Silent Assassin should've been
Blood Money has a bunch of shit levels, guard AI is hilariously broken and it's clearly made for consoles but it did add some cool new stuff like human shields
Absolution is a meme

yes, they are and I say this as a long time hitman fan. the worst part about WoA is that you have to decipher the entire setup process - from buying to changing difficulty in the settings, otherwise the game will work like a walking simulator where you just listen to Diana and press buttons to win. Play it on pro difficulty with mission stories turned OFF for optimum difficulty, play without instinct and on master difficulty (in season 2 and 3 missions) for hard difficulty. Season 1 master diff was made by analizing playthroughs and exists to gotcha! you. Not terribly difficult but it would be really annoying to play for the first time. If you like stealth games then you should also check out Silent Assassin and Contracts, Absolution is a bastard child of Hitman and Splinter Cell but it's still ok (story is fucking atrocious though)

the new game format has some really nice stuff, in terms of level scale and allowing you to creatively go through the mission.
