if you are going to have goofy hit reactions like this, it needs fx, screenshake, something.
if you want no fx no clutter, then make the hit reactions less goofy.
the current combination is too one-foot-in one-foot-out. the combination creates a tension that just doesnt fly in 2025

look at the slomo, you can see the pores on his skin, but then you see him get launched and flies up and down and bounds like a looney tunes character
