Just beat Link's Awakening for the first time. I died a few times, so I didn't get the secret ending showing my beloved Marin as a seagull. If I had beaten this as a child I probably would have been depressed by the thought that I genocided the island.

The best part of Links Awakening was in the original version and not GBC version, if you pressed select while crossing screens you would end up on the opposite side of the screen you just entered
I had so much fun sequence breaking and exploring the map out of bounds

Been a while since I played Hyrule Warriors but don't those characters go back to their own worlds after? So Marin would end up back on the island in time for it all to end, right?

Seems that way

Marin isn't even featured in the story. She's just there for fun.

I played it in 94.
I had no idea what was going on with the story, i never pay attention to story in games coz it's irrelevant.
I loved the game coz of how well it was designed.

why are you lonely ass faggot so desperate of making a waifu out of literally anything in a videogame even if it's just a few pixels?

Either have sex or perish, you are a fucking waste of oxygen.

I went on a little Zelda journey earlier this year, playing through the first game up to Ocarina for the first time, and Link's Awakening surprised me with how actually great it is.
It was the one I expected the least out of, considering how it's a Game Boy game, but it's about on par with ALttP, I'd say. And, unlike ALttP, it doesn't have even one dungeon that makes me want to blow my fucking brains out.

That's an insult.
LA was a HUGE upgrade from the utter piece of shit that LttP is. Already was so in the 90s.
