Is it worth trying to install old Yuzu builds on the Deck or does Ryujinx get the job done well enough? Emudeck doesn't install Yuzu anymore for you so I'm wondering if it's worth trying to setup.

Wish I could break my conditioned trauma with mine. I spent 3 weeks straight fighting with Linux,. Exe programs through bottles, emustastion, and emudeck because they wouldn't work right or at all. I just wanted to get rid of it, but no good alternatives ever came out so it sat on the floor. Now, it works better but I just don't want to even look at it.

that sucks man, linux is hard to learn. Personally, I use Lutris and once I learned how it works, I did everything through it. Valve fucked up in their advertising, it should have been advertised as strictly a computer enthusiast device. I guess it's fine and easy to use as long as you stay on the steam side, though.

I figured that emudeck would just work out of the box, but that was dead wrong. Proton also just seems to work only when it decides it wants to and for no apparent reason.

biggest issue is any .exe run through proton cant find other files because it thinks its running in windows and not the linux file system, so solo emulators dont work because you cant find gamefiles to open on a windows 32 file archive that doesnt exist.

Why get something where you're stuck in one room to play it vs being able to take it with you anywhere, not needing to share, and even getting to play it on the can or in bed.
