Neither was the first one. X-Com didn't get good until the reboot from 13 years ago.

First part is just better
Everything that's good about the game is already in it, all new additions are mediocre (MARS) to bad (human combat with overwatching enemies)
Just boot up the first one and blast some alien ass

It seemed okay when it was new but completely lacking anything new, while being less refined than 2.
Felt like they could fix it with time?

Not rebooting XCOM-likes has always been a massive mistake every single time.

First ones controls were wonky and there was no tutorial, looked cool but I checked out after like an hour of game play. Might pick it back up if someone has a good guide.

We need more XCOM-likes. Enemy Unknown was classic and underrated.

>We need more XCOM-likes.
Not untrue, but there are QUITE a few.
>Enemy Unknown was... underrated.
Anon, that definitely isn't true.

I guess I meant it more like... misunderstood, underrated like unappreciated because so many thought they could do the same thing and didn't quite make it ...

AND we would have love of it, if it was good quality.

Personally I want another XCOM official game like it.

What I honestly want is a modern version of Terror From The Deep.

>I want a lazy reskin of the previous game with a retarded difficulty curve designed entirely because the studio didn't realize they shipped with a bug that set everyone to medium difficulty after one mission
Tell me you haven't actually played Reskin from the Deep without saying you haven't played Reskin from the Deep.
