Saw the Steam sale and finally bought it. What am I in for?
>>717319892 (OP)lots of dick sucking
>>717319892 (OP)cool atmosphere cool cutscenes nice tension ubisoft exploration meh combat casual skilltrees terrible controls terrible soundtrack
>>717319919Can you play as a lesbian and avoid it?
>>717319892 (OP)Opening is pretty shitty, but after that it's amazing.
>>717319996I meant in real life. I've never played the game.
>>717319892 (OP)>buying anything from a retard that bans games without checkingngmi
I am thinking about doing the same. Should I buy the DLC too or wait until I beat the main game?
>150GB download
>It's 50GB on fitgirl
This is why I pirate
Why don't you just fucking play it and find out?
>>717319892 (OP)Driver 3 but worse.
>Minimal if no RPing
>Mediocre combat and driving
>Annoying world/setting/characters
I guess if you're desperate for a singleplayer FPS, go for it, but I wasn't able to get through it. It starts bad and it just really didn't get much better. The only thing I genuinely enjoyed was the fat fuck getting killed, and even then it was kinda of anticlimactic.
I did enjoy some of the visuals and sound design. Again though, it's just a lot of little set dressing details that were good. Unfortunately they can't carry the weight of the core game designers and writers sucking at their jobs. Cart before the horse, yeah?
For the record, I played right after Edgerunners and Phantom Liberty came out, when the major patch dropped and everybody (including marketing for the DLC) were saying "the game was fixed."
It most certainly was not. The AI was still fucked, as were the police, and the inventory management. I ran into a dozen bugs in the first hour, most prominently in your first apartment. Shit's a fucking mess.
That was a couple of years ago now though, so who knows? Maybe they actually "fixed" it, again. Hell if I know, I'll just play games made by people who give a shit instead of scam artists.
>>717320378Yeah the dlc is based
You can hack a car, remote control it, drive it to enemy base, drop a bunch of hacks on their ass while running them over and you just stand 30 meters away sucking on Judy's clit.

>>717319892 (OP)Deus Ex with cars but no resource management. If you play it as a shooter or a stealth game, it's fine. Good even. You just can't expect immersion.

>>717321923Sounds fun desu
>>717321973Maybe if Ubisoft developed it, unironically. The handling of the driving and shooting is not very good, and the AI is Skyrim-tier. The overall experience is reminiscent of Fallout 4 in a lot of ways.
>>717321638>You just can't expect immersion.maybe get a brain box
>>717322469>Gloryshots are immersiveINTERACTION is IMMERSIVE, and interacting with Night City is an unintentional hellscape more often than not. If taking in the landscape is your primary source of immersion, then fuck it, play Euro Truck Simulator.
They promised people a deep, mature RPG based on a tabletop system and gave them a bethesda style open world slop looter shooter with Keanu Chungus quipping in your head
Also they hired Sphere Troon to suck off the game and star in the DLC
Reminds me a lot of Borderlands.
>>717319892 (OP)>Excellent main story but it does end abruptly>very good to meh side missions>okay gun play>meh driving>kino dlc with grear side missions
>>717319892 (OP)extremely shallow game, all bling no substance, perfect for drones to enjoy

I've tried to start this shit like 5 separate times after buying it on day 1 and it never sticks. It's just so uninteresting. I booted it up today again and am I already about to alt f4 in the opening act
>>717322968> Looter Shooter.Oh c'mon now, there's barely enough drops that vary in rarity to be a proper looter shooter.
>>717319892 (OP)A movie with FPS gameplay.
>>717322315I think the shooting is alright, the driving however is comically bad.
You see, I came up the idea called "immersioness"
>>717323247Yeah, all cars suck but motorcycles are great.
As it should be.

You could have just bought the new Robocop game and gotten a much better cyberpunk open world shooter. I know that and I've never played Cyberpunk or RoboCop
>>717319892 (OP)*whistles for magic car*
>>717323883Same gameplay mostly concentrated to a smaller area and a bit more polished and cinematic.
>>717319892 (OP)I bought it three years ago and still canโt finish it. I found it boring.
Where can I get a good Tier 2 or higher shotgun? A normal one, not tech or smart or anything?
I'm pretty early in the game, helping Judy look for the blue haired woman.
>>717324178maybe don't buy games before beating them then...
Basically the good version of a Bethesda game.
>Choose Corpo
>>V is just a Streetkid in a suit who has no idea what the fuck he's doing and talks like Jesse Pinkman
>Choose Nomad
>>V hates being a Nomad and is heading to Night City so he can become a Streetkid, also he knows how to bypass the compressor, that's a good trick
Whoa, what a deep and mature roleplaying experience
>>717324323Random drops or check the weapon shops. Look up the wiki if you have to.
>>717324425Yeah that sucked a bunch. Sadly no one insane ever modded actual life choice extra dialogue/quests/content in
>>717322968>bethesda stylekek you can't even enter 90% of the houses in Night city nor interact with 90% of the items lying around. Not to mention that 90% of the NPCs you see are just lifeless husks with no schedule.
For all the hate Bethesda gets from /v/, no other AAA company has yet to achieve a same level of interaction in their slop rpgs. And if you're not interacting with the game, why not watch a movie at this point.

>>717325301You know how you guys use the internet? That comes from us.
>>717325370so you're the cause of all the world's problems
>>717325486Yes. Dropping the deep sea cables was a mistake.
>>717325336>dude just drive around the entire city until you stumble on every police scanner encounter and fast travel pointNo thanks, the game was long enough doing everything else.
>>717325530You are not a gamer if you don't have all achievements in Cyberpunk, Elden Ring and RDR2. BTW Cyberpunk is the easiest of the three to get all achievements in. Also you must've played the game wrong if you think police scanner gigs can only be found randomly by driving around.
>small penis option is bigger than mine
Feels bad man
Why doesn't CDPR understand flaccid dicks can look like acorns
>>717324425>>717324653If rumours are to be believed, the cinematic immediately after the opener mission was made up of playable sections which were the first act.
>Exploring NC with Jackie>Going to clubs>Getting into low-level troubles>Meeting fixers>Living with Jackie.>Getting your first apartment.Which would have been kino as fuck. Instead we're kinda dropped into NC 3 months later and it's expected we're already this competent badass solo-ing scav hideouts.
playing this right now
anyone else think the inventory and upgrades and all that feel kind of bloated
What are your favorite builds?
>>717325862Just sell everything other than the unique weapons and stuff that's better than what you have.
>>717326426>What are your favorite builds?I can't say I have a favourite, but I tend to fall into:
>Pistols & Katanas Sandy Build (sometimes I spec towards stealth, sometimes towards murder)>Street Psycho Shotgunner with Grenades Out My Asshole>Sneaky Prick Haxxor in a Nice Suit and a Silenced Tsunami Nue
>>717325846>competent badass solo-ing scav hideouts. The scavs are just the goombas of the cyberpunk world

>>717322968This game WISHES it had a Bethesda style open world.
Are the side quests tied to the main story? At some point, I stopped getting any new ones. Or maybe Iโve already completed them all?
>>717325862Yeah but that is the meat of the game. Your cyber ware and weapons have a larger impact on your playing style than skills and perks. In the beginning selling all your non iconic weapons is the best way to make money. Do that until the missions give you a large enough payout where you can just disassemble your weapons to get parts.
>>717326882Yes in the way more sidequests open up as you hit certain events in the game.
>>717324323>Where can I get a good Tier 2 or higher shotgun?Alabai (Pohzar iconic)

>Northoak Suspected Organized Crime Activity: Privacy Policy ViolationEverything else just check the weapon vendors.
What the fuck, why doesn't your storage have item filtering? Are CDPR retarded?
>>717326426My favorite build isn't possible anymore without mods. After the game launched you had a legendary ping quickhack that allowed you to hack enemies through walls. You wouldn't need to go into enemy hideouts and could complete entire missions just from your car in a parking lot across the street from the mission. Shit was so badass.
River has the best questline in the game and the main story should've just been like that. Why the FUCK couldn't you play as a Maxtac operative like the teaser suggested?
>>717326925should I not be selling iconic weapons? I had two pistols I didnt' really like so I got rid of them but those were the only ones I picked up so far
>>717327129>Why the FUCK couldn't you play as a Maxtac operative like the teaser suggested?I don't think that was what was being suggested. It was just a render showing a snippet of the aesthetic they were going for.
Fun fact: The cyberpsycho from that render is in the game. Her name is Melissa Rory and she ends up joining MaxTac. You can meet her during a semi-hidden gig at a fancy high-end clothing store.
>>717323862I was playing the game last night and when I whistled for my magic car it spawned clipped inside a lamppost which made it spaz out then shoot into the sky and explode. This game is still such a buggy piece of shit it's unbelievable.
>>717327180>should I not be selling iconic weapons? If you don't like them no reason to keep them, but I don't think you can get them again. I'm a psycho racoon and can't sell anything.
>>717327223>The PS4 poster reveals themselves
Am I playing this wrong by ignoring most of the netrunning stuff?
I pretty much just use it to turn off cameras, but it feels like I miss out on a lot of shit by not putting points into tech/int.
>pass yet another huge line of vending machines and TV screens
>compelled to pop distraction on all of them for the free netrunner XP
>keep cheap sonic disruption in deck to hit cops with for free netrunner XP
Save me from this autism.
>>717327180I'm not sure you can get them again. Maybe you can get them back from the Dogtown weapon vendor, he sells missed iconics for hefty price
>>717319996there isnt a single mandatory sex scene in the game, the game marks the prompts to start them with a very obvious kiss icon and you can avoid all of them
>>717319892 (OP)*BWAAANNAAAHHH NAAAHH NAAAAAHH NUUHH NAAAHHHA NAAAHHH NAAAHHH BWAAANNAAAH NAAAH NAAH NAAA NAA NAA NAA*
>put this iron in your mouth and pull the trigger
>>717321687meh, it's better that way. these niggas keep games coming. stop shaming them if you know whats good for you
>>717327403If you don't like netrunning, install a different OS cyberware. Also reset your skill points (can only do it one time) keep intelligence at 3 (lowest possible). Tech is completely different from netrunning (int). Tech is probably one of the most important skills in this game due to the heavy reliance on cyberware and upgrading
>>717326426There are no "builds" in this game. You pick a weapon and then you take the talents that buff that weapon since everything only affects one specific weapon type and that's it.
>>717327412This game really does have an awful "skill" system.
>>717327580Hmm, I'm not far into the game, but so far I've been putting points into body, reflex and cool equally, and my character feels pretty strong already.
>>717327907Well yeah the game is easy even on the highest difficulty. You could do it all with zero cyberware and one pistol
>>717325846I was foolishly hoping the main story would actually play out differently depending on your origin. The general idea and major beats would be the same, but certain elements would happen at different points in time, or not happen at all, you would start in a different area of Night City, etc...
Just wasn't expecting a hard reset after 20 minutes of cutscenes. Nobody to blame but myself.
>>717324323>Tier 2 or higher shotgun?I hate tiers so fucking much.
>>717324323Tier weapons are based on your character level. Every shotgun drop will be tier2 or higher if your level reaches 20 or 30 I believe
>>717319892 (OP)Cyber Theft Auto 4: Fallout of the Night City Watch Dog
a really kino setting until you dig into the source material
>>717328118>>717328198What's even the point of tiers?
>>717328532Because hack devs don't know how to make games without shitty wannabe diablo loot
>>717328532As you level up and get stronger, new weapon drops will also be stronger. You can't upgrade them if they are non iconic, so that's why. There definitely is a gacha element to getting weapon drops which sucks if there is one specific weapon you want, but you want then at the highest tier which is 5++ and you want it with empty mod slots.
>>717321928wrong
she's older than david
cdprojekt didn't want her because trigger added her after the scripts were close to finalized but once the guy in charge of the whole show saw her he loved her and they added her
you have been fake news'd just like the retards who said the game sucked at launch because ps4 peasants couldn't play
>>717328786Glad to see someone sane left in this african shithole of a board
>>717328723Why would you want stronger/upgradeable weapons? Apart from the numerical turboautism, of course.
>>717328342What's wrong with neuromancer?
>>717328856If there is a type of gun you really like, Why would you not want the best version of it you could get?
>>717328914Does it do anything different?
>>717328872neuromancer is good
pondsmith cyberpunk is bad
>>717328982Does more damage, empty mod slots allow you to give the weapon different effects depending on the weapon mods you install in it. I should add that most people don't give a shit about this and just iconic weapons which can be upgraded to the highest tier.
>>717323810>You could have just bought the new Robocop game and gotten a much better cyberpunk open world shooter. As far as Polish Kusoge goes, Robocop is basically a slower far more boring version of Cyberfag, I don't know how anyone can pretend it's better than anything.
>>717329167Why would it do more damage than the same exact gun?
For the record, I'm just busting your balls. I'm just tired of three-dimensional, action-oriented, real-time titles using D&D logic when it's completely out of context and exists only as a substitute to "balance" the game without having to, you know, actually take the time to program enemies to git gud along with (You). Statistics, leveling, etc... are almost completely irrelevant in this type of game and their inclusion is ignorant of why they were created to begin with. Jesus fuck, can you imagine showing up to a game of chess and your opponent has a Queen +1 and that's the only reason he wins lol? What a joke.
>The enemy has to be fun to shoot at, as well as be shot atLet me know when developers like CDPR, Gearbox, Ubisoft, 343, and so many more get the fucking message.
>>717319892 (OP)a moviegame with unskippable dialogues
>>717319892 (OP)best game of the decade imho.
the game is fundamentally broken, made by ex bioware tranny retards. any game, even games made by virgin neet indie devs who spend most of their time posting bbc threads on /b/, will have their core mechanics functioning before doing anything else when designing a game. Somehow, CDPR forgot to do this, and made the whole game first. They are literally retarded and the game will always be unsaveable. The only reason this game is seen as acceptable now is because the quality of the average game has tanked since this piece of nigger diarrhea was cummed out of CDPR's orangutan asshole onto Steam all those years ago. The game will always be shit. Stealth is unfixable shit without a complete overhaul, but the game commits an entire stat to it. Police still spawn 10 feet behind you. The game still tries to nuke your CPU even though it runs ok. The hacking is still worse than Watch Dogs and anything cool you can do with the hacking is on-rails crap. In the city, you will run into invisible walls that will turn you around Tony Hawk style. For fuck's sake, Watch Dogs Legion is more competently designed. Play Deus Ex instead.
I never played it bc it jus doesn't look like a good gameplay loop. It looks like it's a bunch of shallow janky stuff like the driving but it's everything.
It's also ugly, not the graphics, it's the setting
>>717330047Why is xhe transparent?
>>717330439>doesn't look like a good gameplay loopit's a single player open world story game. It's not supposed to have a gameplay loop.
>>717329624>Why would it do more damage than the same exact gun?I don't like this system either. They should allow you to upgrade any gun you like but they have a implemented this weird gacha system which sucks ass.
>>717330718Only artsy nothing games or walking sims have no loop at all. This should have some kind of gameplay loop. If it doesn't then yeah it's not worth playing.
>>717330531>xhefuck off tranny. your only representation in the game is the mechanic tranny whose entire quest is meant to show how he believes in delusions and the good guy was the guy the mechanic pit you against in the races.
>>717321923Enjoying it at 40 hours, but the pacing of the quests is kinda shit, the main quest is great but its surprisingly short and the repetitive side sigs are ass. The actual character quest lines you get at street level 50 are good but there's no reason to space them out so far apart with so many not-radiant regina gigs if you're trying to not rush the story
>>717319892 (OP)The shooting is pretty good, melee is decent but both feel a little unresponsive at times. Most of the cyberware is pretty neat and it feeds into that pen and paper character building autism that you get from some rpgs.
Cars are slippery, especially on mouse and keyboard where steering is 100 or 0. You need to wrestle with a lot of the cars to get clean turns at high speed, but it's very fun if you like that sort of sliding and drifting. I think the engine and driving would be very good for an arcadey Mad Max style game, assuming that vehicle combat was more fleshed out.
Story/mission wise, it's alright. A lot of the side missions are copy paste mechanically and it's very easy to get bored of them.
>>717327479yeah you dont have to suck cocks in game
sadly you will forever be a gay faggot for unironically BUYING cyberpunk 2077 though, shame
It ran great on release for me on Stadia
