What the hell, I installed Bazzite in a 10 year old PC with an i5, Nvidia GTX 1050 TI and 12GB RAM, now everything is running smoothly in High settings, including Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
There is no excuse for using Windows anymore.

First time using Linux and yeah, it almost feel like Windows, but with their own App Store and you need to use Lutris for running windows installers.
I had a few issues trying to understand Proton compatibilty, but Experimental or latest GE is doing fine here.
It's almost like the Steam Deck experience.
I just need to figure out how to install github Linux version emulators like Yuzu forks.

you actually don't. your file manager lets you execute stuff with wine, you can run it from the terminal with "wine installer.exe" or you can just use steam to run it.

it's been around for 2+ years now, it was the first way to get SteamOS gaming mode onto PC, it essentially became the easiest way for people who don't really tinker with PCs to have a console like experience for their couch PCs, while also ditching Windows and thus gaining performance on older machines(which is what most people use for their couch PCs).

you go arch because it's a DIY distro with bleeding edge packages and rolling release. you build your own distro with whatever you want in it. whether you want to use a window manager, a terminal interface or even gnome, arch has you covered.

Space savings isn't why you go Arch, you go for it because you want to do stuff to your OS and customize it. Bazzite for example is immutableish which means you don't get to do much except consoom what the Bazzite devs think you need. Which is boring, but adequate if it fits your requiremnts.

I switched to Bazzite a week or two ago because I saw it getting shilled on /g/
I'm a retard in regards to computers
I had to switch from Win11 because I had too many problems.

So far it works ok. ChatGPT is a great help because fuck linux. But using AI I can make everything work so far
