Jabberwock island is made of 5 larger islands connected by a smaller island. The factory is not on the island that the group lives on. Therefore, when the warehouse caught on fire, there was no need for them to care about it burning down especially as it was all stuff Monokuma used. Nagito is in the warehouse, but they don't give that as the reason why they need to stop the fire and instead focus on the risk of the fire burning down the factory.

He's saying that the button pressing and putting him in a high place is the "preparation" for his death, but what ended up "pulling the trigger" was Mechamaru himself by choosing to move, which caused him to fall. Gundham, the one who made preparations, was the blackened.
In Case 5, the "preparation" was done by Nagito. He put the poison in the grenades, set up the dominoes, injured himself and held a spear above him. The one who "pulled the trigger" was the traitor. Chiaki, the one who pulled the trigger, was the blackened.
Do you see the inconsistency? As much as I love Case 5, they have a point. You could explain it away by saying that it just made for a more entertaining case or Monokuma wanted to get rid of the traitor.

You're forgetting that his big announcement of the bombs at that point fell flat. He then tells them to go to the warehouse. After opening the door and causing the fire (they are unaware that they caused the fire) their first instinct is to put it out. None of them are in the warehouse so it's not like the 5 of them were in danger and again they do not mention Nagito at all when trying to put out the fire. In fact, after the fire is out they assume he escaped the warehouse somehow.
