Was this really necessary? Did you really need to cripple her and abandon her to appease the Chuds? It felt cheap, vindictive and unearned. This is clearly NOT what the writers of 7.0 intended. She was meant to be a less stoic, more easygoing part of the usually serious and humorless scions. Yes, it made the tone of the game less serious and somber, but that's the fucking point. Now we get more ten years of doom and gloom.

My headcanon for a potential antagonist pre-DT was the final boss was going to basically be a primal based on some original summoner back when primals were invented on eorzea (like yu yevon or antagonistic tidus) with the red herring mid boss being primal Sin.

In essence I thought the final boss would be tidus who doesn’t want to disappear, a primal who didn’t realize his nature projected from the guy who made sin thousands of years ago in the second era.
