They also don't recognize that the man Norse Kratos is was already a part of his character in the Greek saga. Much like most braindead mainstream readings of God of War, they completely close their eyes to Kratos's self-hatred and trauma, or how the story is a classic Greek tragedy wherein our "hero" spirals out of control and ruins everything that ever mattered to him. No, instead they just see the big spectacle fights and think "wow, he's so cool" without a single neuron firing for anything deeper.

Norse Kratos's personality and philosophy is the ONLY path forward for the character that doesn't either ignore his past or walk back his established development.
