the default UI’s problem is it was designed for 4:3 1024x768, the important stuff is in opposite corners which are really far apart on widescreens, his addons are just moving important stuff to the center

Blizzard has long desired to crack down on addons, but their established player base is too used to them. The original dev team should have foreseen this problem, but they wanted to give players more freedom.
