Now that VR failed and motion controls kinda found it's niche what is going to be the next big gimmick?

We're going to return to just controllers for consoles and mouse and keyboard for PC
Any gimmicks will die and people who want to implement gimmicks will be fired and/or killed

This would look so much cooler if it was a spinning blade.
