I boughted a 12GB cuck card (5070) at MSRP a while back, but then I realized I spend most of my time playing shit like pic related or DOSBOX or stuff in emulation station and I think I just don't care about the GPU rat race anymore. No. I have no plans to upgrade. I still have to use driver 566.36 from late last year because the recent Nvidia drivers cause crashes. They have never resolved this issue and it's still on-going. Upgrading would mean that I have to upgrade my driver. I'm not in the market for a new GPU until Nvidia decides to remember that they sell gaming products and not just AI datacenter cards.

As much as I could, I'll wait for AMD's 9080XT since I already got a 7900XTX which has the same power than the 9070xt, and since I'm a linuxtard, I don't have access to the fsr override in the drivers, so not wasting my time tryna make fsr4 work there, plus, I'd rather wait for them to fix the goddamned drivers for once, since lately they've been extremely bugged and I literally can't play no man's sky and AI somnium files has a glitch where it is unplayable in somniums.

I'm still running my pc from 2016 with a 1070 and was ready to get a new one with a 5080, but since they're probably about to release the 24GB version I can wait a few months longer. This hopefully will last for the next 10 years, I'm too old for this constant upgrade shit at this point.

Depends. I assembled a 4070 build earlier this year, running most of my gaming on a 3080 build currently. I'm thinking I should build a third PC with 5090. Trying to prepare for when the internet gets locked down and media and gear gets sparse. If you wanna overclock the 5080. 5070 ti overclocks to stock 5080 performance level, 5080 overclocks to 10-15% over that. Probably not worth it to most people. You could maybe get more with a power mod. on 3dmark, the benchmark results are around 4090 D level, which was the gimped chinese version of 4090. Actual 4090 overclocked way higher, even 7900xtx has higher top 100 scores than 5080/4090D

Wuchang and some ue5 really made me realize my 3060 isn't cutting it anymore.
I hear a 5090 is not only hard to get but it's also plain not worth the money.
