I just followed the lines on the ground, man. You need to connect the generator to Shale's console, so just rotate the shapes until the electrope path for electricity appears.

I actually liked this quest its weird to see people hate on it.
I guess its because people just wanna get through MSQ and having to stop and think isnt part of it? Because 99% of the MSQ is just "walk to point, click on glowing ground and wait for meter to fill up", the most boring shit imaginable, followed my more of the most boring dialogue imaginable.

I liked that this one at least sorta felt like I was playing a video game.

This, it was really fun, and I liked how we did it as a group with the companions. It was a breath of fresh air for sure. Let's hope they will do something similar in the future too.
