Without exclusives, consoles have no reason to exist. They'd become locked hardware that sells at a loss. No company would sustain that.

anon, console are console for a reason that is to make everything accessible and easier for casual people who just want to power up their machine and play games after work. This accessibility also means that they have to make their console 'run' in any kind of household that include those 3rd world household. There is no way they could put something equivalent to 5080 or 9070 in there, that requires some 1000W PSU to be powered up, it literally goes against console accessibility principles.
Remember when ps5 or xbox sex promised you something something with 4k 120fps, which one of them printed that logo in their box i forgot, while in truth they are barely capable on running cyberslop in stable 60 fps without devs personally tweaked the game so that it could run on those console several months later after release. They promised you back then that both ps5 and xbox sex would have power equivalent to 3080 while in reality it was something around 3060. And remember that console vidya quality is somewhere in pc low quality, meaning that if it looked smooth well that's because they played the game on low setting

PS3 and 360 were comparable to high spec PCs of the time. The equivalent Nvidia nomenclature doesn't really hold up at the time but probably equivalent to the contemporary 60Ti/70 tier for the 360 and 80/90 tier for the PS3.
