your cable box is property of your ISP, its attached to your house, they need to run a line to it so they can activate your service, the line itself is also not your property, we can put it where we want unless its going to directly damage your shit or be a tripping hazard, and even then we are authorized to slice along the edges of driveways, feed cable along the side of your house and drill into it so the lines stay secure etc
nothing you could have done other than cause a scene and waste time
