I still use my PS4 regularly. No reason to needlessly wear my PS5 down playing PS4 games when the PS4 still works.

I also still use mine regularly. Still no interest in a PS5 nearly five years later. Holding out hope PS6 will actually have full PS1 through PS5 BC, just so I can shelve my PS2/3/4 in favor of one piece of hardware.

My primary reason for a console is skipping large downloads to install a game since I have garbage internet, but PS5 both doesn't have games I care for (or they come out on PS4 where I get them at 30fps instead), and also modern games love their 10gb+ fucking day 1 updates as it is.

It probably could, since it has more RAM than a PS4, a fast storage requirements (no shitty 5400rpm stock drive to support), and GPU features that PS4 doesn't have, which would let it squeeze more performance.
