All this marketing talk about focusing more on story for Dark Ages, to serve us the most disjointed and pointless story I've ever seen in a game like this
Funniest part was at the end of the Ancestral Forge mission, you activate the shit with Thira, mission ends after testing your shield rune
Then it cuts to black, and now suddenly Doomguy barges in Hell with no prior setup, no information letting you know Doomguy needs to get to hell and why he needs to do so
In Eternal, no matter how convoluted story beats were, the game ALWAYS gave you context about why you need to go there next
Usually VEGA, Sammy Hayden or even the ARC Intern in the DLC gave you a general context, you never felt lost in the story
