Why do people act like this is a masterpiece? It's easily Arkane's worst game except for Redfall. And yes I know, it's amazing because you can interact with the environment but that doesn't excuse that it's trash at it's core. It seems like you pretentious fucks love prasing a game just because it's an "immersive sim" become some faggot youtuber's essay review told you to do so. This game is nowhere near as good as Arxs or Prey. The only parts I enjoyed in this game is exploring and looking for sercets. Sometimes the combat can click when you pull something cool off but most of the time it's just a slog of a failure

But the melee was well above anything done back then, and probably a bit today.
The dynamic you get from inertia heavy game is just delightful.

The main appeal of the game is the physics and ragdolls. shooting ice on the floor, throwing shit at enemies, and kicking them down stairs is fun.

That is until like 2/3rds into the game where most shit is happening in doors, and you have to resort to actually engaging with the combat system with is really boring. block attack, counter attack, repeat

The real problem with combat are the insanely janky hitboxes. Other than that, it's fun to kick and break things and make enemies slip on ice. All first person combat should be more like that, but not like the bad hitboxes with regular melee.
