holy fuck you're right I actually forgot that was a thing lmao.
while I do like that they're adding more content its mostly shit that should have been in the game over a decade ago. personally I want more biomes like the ones they promised before. at least those they don't seem to ever fuck up.

It's wild to me that Minecraft makes so much money but their updates amount to "Look! Different torches!" and "Okay guys please vote for which one of these four shitty creatures you want included in the game and we'll see if we can get around to it in the next two years." What the fuck are they even doing?

they're acting like a government entity since they got bought out by microshit; just daycare for jeb and his ilk. I'd prolly do the same tho, sounds comfy

It's incredible just how underdeveloped light source items are in minecraft, it's one of the most important features if not the most important, and you still have like 6 different blocks to choose from, 5 of which look like ass
But no we need 7 different types of colored clay instead

If a Mojang dev wants to add something it now needs to go through like 5 different buerucrats for approval. So it could take forever just for any idea to get rejected and nothing get's done. Before the MS buyout if someone had an idea they'd just add it in, simple as that.
silly piggy, I work 8-4, get to work 8:40 leave 15 minutes earlier and don't feel the need to defend corporations or their slaves, if the work culture presented in this webm is acceptable, or desired for you, you are a willing slave
>>717416079 >An in between for stone and iron
So is iron rarer than it used to be or going to become more scarce? Cause it takes like 3 minutes to go from stone to iron so that seems stupid

needing a different furnace to smelt harder metals would be a neat way of handling it. but they will probably just do nothing and it will be functionally useless.

Is this supposed to make her job look good?
6 hours and 15 minutes of labor spread over a 9 and a half hour work day (wherein you can't leave the facility except for emergencies) surrounded by people you tolerate sounds pretty damn bad, irrelevant of how many breaks you take.

I just wish someone back ported things like the deeper world height and the new swimming mechanics to 1.7.10. It's the only good thing about the latest versions.

this is not a joke btw. i used to work at the google campus and all the headquarters exactly like this. extremely cushy. starbucks and burritos, food courts inside the offices. its dystopian lol

Redmond, Washington (Microsoft HQ where all the non-remote coders work) has an annual cost of living of about $87,707.
Don't go shitting out random numbers if you can't even put in the tiniest bit of effort to back them up.

In vanilla minceraft? No. That said, it's nice to not have five million variants of copper you have to deduplicate using oredict when playing with tech mods, I guess.

to add to this.. all the guys serving you food at the google campus were mexicans and blacks, then its all indians and asian engineers getting the food served man.
i just can't put my finger on it. but something is off here.

While the loss of the minimap is painful, the real regression is the UI. >Have a well-known and established user interface style in hues of blue with your player character standing next to it overlaying the world around you like a sci-fi heads-up-display effect >Replace it with sleek, generic UI from every AAA game ever
It's a stark reminder to my why I enjoy Minecraft custom content so much.

There are always worse and useless things than copper like resign that they added that has a similar color to copper and you have to farm from an "immortal" mob from trees...
>start up minecraft because i somehow never played it in 15 years since release >"teach your white friends all about systemic racism today"
Yeah, that's an uninstall.
