Does /v/ have opinions on the recent prototype SFM/TF2 leak?

Would Alien Swarm have been more popular if it was like Moby Francke's TF2-esque concept art? E.g. TF2 with a scifi edge/alien invasion plot?

Alien swarm had no advertising or promotion besides some items in tf2 that nobody gave a shit about so it was doomed from the start
