What is the actual argument fags have against MGSV? I keep seeing anons say Kojimmer ruined the series o algo but it's a great evolution of the series. The only thing I felt was lacking was the story being a bit of a mess and the lack of more setpiece missions to break up the clear le outpost gameplay a bit.

The game is one of the most polished games ever made. You can play it today and it plays better and smoother than 99% of modern games. Hell I think it's arguably the best tps/stealth game from gameplay/mechanics perspective.
And the story has a proper ending. I don't really get what the unfinished game fags want more from the story.

It's not fair to compare it to DS to be honest.
MGSV is the cumulation of decades of engine and mechanics development. Old MGS games were janky. It took Kojima and his team decades to reach the smoothness of MGSV.
Kojima had to start over without FOX engine.
Also, the focus of DS is traversal, inventory management and carrying stuff and the mechanics for those thing are really polished compared to stealth and combat which is not the focus.
Also FUCK Konami for getting rid of FOX engine for fucking unreal slop.
