Honestly, considering the game's content, I'm surprised it got this far, but it's still not out of the woods yet. Many games have been banned after their store page went up, such as Holy Undead, an all-ages VN by Key/PROTOTYPE. I still hope Dragami has contingencies for if Steam bans it, because it's still very likely. This game is filled with red flags that constantly get Japanese games banned from Steam. The mere fact that it's set in a school is one. There's also the question of even if it does pass and release, will it have all the content from the original Switch version and not be censored? There is this constant FUD surrounding games like this now and I don't doubt it's done a lot to damage their sales potential. How can you buy with confidence if you can't be assured you'll even get the full product?

As far as I know, creating store pages on Steam shouldn't be a problem, but there’s still a chance of something like the Nekopara After delay happening. Hopefully, that won’t be the case here.

I very much doubt this will come out, it's a dating sim. If it does, I might play another route, the Switch version ran like fucking dogshit.

The game wasn't good to begin with, by the way. Photokano and Recolove were both better, and neither of these games were that good.

It's always “that one character” that sets off the alarms. The moment she showed up in the trailer with the high-pitched VA and sparkly filter effects, I knew Valve compliance was going to have a field day. They might as well slap a big red "Review Pending" sticker on the whole product at this point.

The thing to remember is that valve is extremely incompetent. Yes, they sometimes ban high quality japanese games that are completely inoffensive, but they also often allow tons of absolutely vile disgusting trash. Ultimately it comes down to which reviewer happens to see the game, not an objective universal standard. So while it definitely risks being banned it's also entirely possible it will get approved with no issues whatsoever.

I'm not a BAfag. BAfags do that as a gatekeeping mechanism to drive off undesirables (leftists, trannies, annoying women, etc) which shit up other fandoms without gatekeeping mechanisms. If BAfags were actually mass-raping children, you'd be hearing about it already because western media LOVES running hit pieces on anime and anime-style media.

This is significantly more risque, though. It's a CERO D game with gravure elements and apparently touching mechanics as well. By contrast, Blue Archive is a 12+/Teen-rated game.

This game hasn't been announced for a DLSite release, though. Even if it was, it would likely get geoblocked by their automated system and make it a pain in the ass to purchase.
>>717578509
There is nothing to fool over. BAfags and Japanese/anime game players do not do what you are accusing them of. All you have is pointing at online posts and memes about a game. I'd say you successfully got gatekept.

I just hope the Nintendo Switch 2 version releases without issue in Japan since it will most likely include English, that would be easy to import or get digitally. Zero faith in western Nintendo or Steam.

Nintendo has been known to censor Asia and Japan-only games as well, especially in the last year. They also recently admitted to journalists they've updated their guidelines and no longer go off rating boards. I would keep your faith in them to a minimum.
>Many of the new guidelines discuss “sensitive content,” and include specific rules for what qualifies as sensitive content in the first place. Listed criteria that “would be considered damaging to the Nintendo brand” include sexualization of children, overly sexual content, discrimination and hate, exploitation of social issues (“Content that clearly exploits a topical and controversial social issue, tragedy, or catastrophic event”), instructing criminal activity, and political statements (“Content that overtly supports or criticizes real-life countries, organizations, or ideologies”). Nintendo states in the guidelines that it reserves the right not to distribute a game, but claims it offers the guidelines to help developers understand its reasoning in certain situations.

These are specifically said to be for Asia too. The western ones are not stated, but are shown to be even worse.

Amazing that nintendo thinks they can get away with these guidelines when one of their current most popular franchises is splatoon.
Didn't that game set a record for rule34 speed?
